Your primary goal is to drill for ore, haul it back to your surface processing plant, and sell it for profit.
At the start, your craft is limited. You'll need to return to the surface often to refuel your dwindling tanks and cash in your collected minerals.
Spend your earnings at the junk shop to upgrade your fuel capacity, cargo hold, drill power, engine, hull, and radiator. The adjacent emendation station can repair your hull, and you can also buy vital one-use items like extra fuel canisters and explosives.
With better equipment, you can venture further down, where more valuable resources like platinum and emeralds await. When you reach depths around -1000 ft, you'll start discovering religious artifacts, each worth a massive $50,000 reward.
